Suet Cakes - choose from four recipes!
The food cakes are invaluable because they have a high concentration of ingredients that help Birds to conserve energy. This mixture of fat and food is one of the best on the market in terms of nutritional value. The cakes are packed individually, which means that they store and keep better. Each cake is placed in a separate wire basket (see page 76), from which the Birds can serve themselves. There are four different recipes, so at least one of them is bound to appeal to the inhabitants of your garden.

Ingredients: Sunflower seeds, millet and several types of grain. Vegetarian.
Peanut Butter Cake with Suet
Ingredients: Chopped peanuts and peanut butter.
Insect Cake with Suet
Ingredients: Dried insects and mealworms.
Raisins & Nuts Cake with Suet
Ingredients: Raisins, millet, chopped grain and peanuts.
NOTE: Fats have a very low melting point, therefore it is best
to use cakes and peanut butter in the winter only,
or not on hot days.
